About Surabhi

Surabhi is a certified yoga therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists and holds a Master’s Degree in Yoga.

She began her yoga practice at the BKS Iyengar Yogashraya in Mumbai. Additionally, she did her teacher trainings at the Govardhan School of yoga (200-hr), Sivananda Yoga (200-hr) and completed an intensive 300-hour teacher training in the Vinyasa style with Jivamukti Yoga. The diversity of philosophy and yoga styles of the different schools of yoga enrich her teaching perspectives.

Seeking to dive deeper into processes of the anatomy, psychology, disease and curative power of yoga she completed her Master’s Degree in Yoga at S-VYASA University. She further expanded her expertise through a yearlong observership across various medical disciplines, including endocrinology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, general medicine, dermatology, psychiatry, neurology, physiotherapy, and ayurveda. This unique exposure has given her an in-depth understanding of disease processes and the potential for integrated healing through yoga therapy.

Surabhi worked at Bhaktivedanta Hospital (India) for over 5 years gaining valuable experience treating a diverse range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, endocrinal, psychiatric, and other health challenges. Her approach is deeply informed by her extensive training and hands-on experience in integrating yoga therapy with conventional medical treatments.

Her focus is on blending holistic yogic wisdom with contemporary medical therapies to offer a well-rounded and effective approach to health and wellness.
